Monkeypox Hiatus
Posted by msemilie on Friday, 12 August 2022In early 2020 I was (like everyone else) trying to understand what was going with a new virus – https://msemilieoxford.com/2020/03/14/social-distancing-online-chat. But while the US was arguably slow in appreciating the threat to public health, it quickly became clear (to most of us) that we needed to take extraordinary measures. So at that point I stopped doing in-person sessions – and didn’t restart until May 2021 - https://msemilieoxford.com/2021/05/11/re-entry. And even then I required that all my slaves and sissies were vaccinated and/or boosted.
Now I feel a horrible sense of déjà vu about monkeypox.
Cancelled Las Vegas and SoCal Visits
Posted by msemilie on Friday, 13 May 2022Over the past few weeks I have been nervously watching the Covid numbers. While the data is getting to be more and more unreliable as testing programs are much reduced, it does appear that we are at the start of yet another (Omicron sub-variant) surge.

So I have had to push back my Las Vegas trip a week from May 15-22 (https://msemilieoxford.com/2022/04/21/visiting-las-vegas-may-15-22) to May 22-26 – albeit with a slightly shorter stay in Las Vegas before heading to SoCal for the Memorial Day weekend…
